From Y/T: "31 old Huang suffers on neurofibrome from the birth. He was the object of cruel jokes because of the his appearance, by the whole life and social ostracism. He is known in the China and in the world as " elephant man". Doctors from the Chinese centre announced that they were able to remove already weighing above 15 kg growth on the face Huang. They have to do this as the most quickly, because the disease begins to deform the spine"

OMG. I finally brought myself to watch this video, which wasn't easy. That horrible deformity made me so squeamish. That poor guy. Why did they wait so long to to do this procedure? Oh wait; it's China. They had higher priorities. Like promoting the Olympics and shooting Tibetan pilgrims just trying to see the Dalai Lama.

I hate to be a pedantic prick (but I will be )

But that's not 'The Elephant Man'

The REAL Elephant man, the subject of the movie etc. was called Joseph Merrick and lived in the 19th Century.

If this were a video on him I'd watch it, but alas, just someone else with a hideous deformity.

Wow, I wanted to say it looked like neurofibromatosis type 1, but I've never seen neuromas that large and... floppy. Might be a more uncommon genetic disorder I'm not familiar with.

Sweet Jesus.

That's certainly the first thing that went through my mind.

And yeah, why did they wait so long, going for a record or something? Also.. the jar bit was entirely unnecessary :-(
