Yeah, this happened last July but I found this link the other day when I was reading a story about how this building's elevators are still not fixed.

Not totally uncommon for New York. The building I work in still has 39 open elevator violations. Even when the building gets the elevators repaired, they still have to pay the city a minimum $3,000 fine to remove the violation. You do the math...
