Fear and Horrorshow Channels

Are these channels overlapping too much? Compare the two channel descriptions:

Fear - "A place for videos exhibiting examples of fear, the use of fear to control and oppress, fear of differences, terrorized people and animals, paranoia, distrust, fear of death, and phobias."

Horrorshow - "Monsters, Murderers, & Mayhem! All Night Freakshow Action at the Horrorshow Collective! Slasher Films, Monster Flicks, & Gothic Fantasies old & new... Music and Animation... bottom line, whatever makes you scream in the dark!"

At least from the descriptions, I can garner that Horrorshow is probably where scary videos should go, while Fear is more about the actual fright that results, but the "examples of fear" part in the description is ambiguous.

Since raven and pyrex are AWOL, I think that blankfist should weigh in to clarify which videos belong in Fear, which are better for Horrorshow, and which should go in both.

Go here to begin your search

Move around with the mouse, “z” to zoom in and “x” to zoom out. Click on an area of the painting and enter the title; if you’re correct the answer will light up green, if not, red (spelling counts!). Some are pretty easy: click on the birds for, well, “The Birds” others require a bit more creativity. As of this writing I found 35, can you find them all? You can save your progress if you wish.

This tenacious sifter has gone from probie to goldie in just over a month. That's 46 - count 'em - 46 published vids, not including the 3 in his PQ or the 24 in his discarded pile. That is an impressive feat for a member of the living, let alone the undead.

Some of the words that come to mind when I think of uhohzombies are racist, clown, dickfer, cringeworthy and the phrase girl does 21. Please list your own favorites in the comments.

Feel free to congratulate him, but be mindful of his bite, which will turn you into a zombie too.

That's even worse than this light switch.

I had to go sit in a corner and hug my comfort pillow for a while before the horror subsided.

After Dark Horrorfest 8 Films to Die for, August 9 - 18

Horrorfest starts today and ends on the 18th. The site has previews for most of the eight films. There's a brief synopsis about each one. In my area four of the films are being shown each day. To see if the fest is happening at a theater near you click on Tickets. The listings are by state for chains and individual theaters. These films will not be shown in a regular release. The 8 films from last year are currently out on DVD.

Yes it's that deliciously evil time of year yet again, and to celebrate the All Night Horrorshow is hosting a little contest.

Nothing fancy, whoever treats the Horrorshow to the most candy from today (31st of October) until next Wednesday (7th of November) wins 2 *saves, and 2 *promotes.

Also, as in our last Fortnight of Fright contest, double-points are awarded. This time to sifters who manage to sift any of the movies written about in this lengthy feature over at needcoffee.com that cannot already be found on the sift. Just be wary of that most nefarious of evils, the dupe!

Yes, I realize this is a little late in the day, but the hamsters at my ISP appear to not have been fed in the last few days. Sifts already submitted today are included in this week-long contest.

All month they've been posting great horror movies and clips in celebration of my upcoming and very favorite holiday. A lot of these flicks are already on the sift, but some aren't and are still up for grabs... I'm sure Pyrex would agree that any one of them would make a great addition to his HorrorShow!
